Prime Minister Duško Marković visited earlier today the renovated facilities of the Clinical Center of Montenegro – Institute for Child Diseases, Clinic for Eye Diseases and Clinic for Hearth Deseases.

The Prime Minister has spoken with the director of the Clinical Center Zorica Kovacević, Director of the Institute for Child Diseases Sonja Milašinović, Head of the Clinic for Eye Diseases Haris Kujundžić and Head of Cardiology Center Ljilja Mušić, as well as with doctors, nurses and patients. He expressed satisfaction with the reconstruction results in the numerous facilities at the Clinical Center and the modernization of medical equipment.

PM Marković and the management of the Clinical Center expressed satisfaction with the results achieved over the past ten months, assessing that a high quality medical treatment is provided to the citizens of Montenegro in the leading medical institution in the country.

The management of the Clinical Center informed the Prime Minister about the fact that the medical staff is being strengthened by the employment of young doctors who have been provided with the opportunity to improve abroad. It was estimated that the cooperation between the Clinical Center and the Health Insurance Fund is excellent and thanks to this cooperation citizens of Montenegro receive significantly improved health services.

At the end of his visit, Prime Minister Marković informed the management of the Clinical Center of Montenegro that the Government will strongly support the continuation of modernization and improvement of all aspects of the work of the Clinical Center through the budget for the next year.

- The quality of health care is one of the priorities of this Government. The key priority is a healthy nation as the basis for overall progress in society, and the Clinical Center follows this Government's commitment and vision. I want to send a message to other health institutions when it comes to hospitals and health centers that it is necessary to see and follow the vision and efforts of the Clinical Center in order to have a comprehensive and high quality health protection in the whole country – the Prime Minister said.
