Minister Damjanović opens Knowledge Factory at University of Donja Gorica

The Minister of Science of Montenegro Dr. Sanja Damjanović opened the Knowledge Factory today, a traditional IT event within the Science Open Days. Beside Minister Damjanović, the attendees were addressed by Prof. Veselin Vukotić, Rector of the University of Donja Gorica. This year, students have also taken part in the traditional Knowledge Factory programme, focusing on new IT technologies, the principles of product design, and the use of 3D printers for model design. Renowned lecturers talked about Internet of Things technologies, programming, girls in IT profession, security and privacy protection on the Internet.

– I am sure that you will come up with excellent ideas, which you will continue to implement with the help of your professors and instructors, which the Ministry of Science will gladly support. Getting acquainted with modern technologies and acquiring IT skills is essential in the modern world and very important for young people, because they are the key to success and bearers of the future, said Minister Damjanović at the opening.

The Knowledge Factory looks into the future and encourages innovative ideas and creative spirit, which is what young people need to be up-to-date with the global trends.

Minister Damjanović thanked the partners, above all ComTrade and the University of Donja Gorica, which helped in the joint mission of promoting science and its overall importance to society.
