Prime Minister Duško Marković said earlier today in Skopje at the Summit of 100 business leaders from Southeast Europe, where he is taking part with prime ministers of the Republic of Macedonia, Zoran Zaev, Albania, Edi Rama, and Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Zvizdić, that the Western Balkans region needs to create a new values, stronger interconnections and bold decision-making.

"The greatest challenge today is to create a new value. My Government is dedicated to policies that create development and new value," PM Marković said, speaking at the Summit.
Speaking about the need for better connections within our region, Prime Minister Marković said that we live side by side, but that we are hardly reaching each other. "Denis (Zvizdić, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH) arrived in Skopje via Istanbul," PM Marković, stressing that infrastructure is needed in our region.

The Prime Minister of Montenegro especially emphasised the importance of conferences such as this one today in Skopje.

"Such conferences and suggestions coming from the business community through specially focused topics are the best approach and the best support to the responsible governments to change the situation and to ensure a better valorization of their own resources," PM Marković said.

Prime Minister Marković pointed to another problem.

"Governments are ready to accept your suggestions. But it is not only on the governments that are ready to accept decisions of the business community. The problem is in our administrations. There need to be reforms," PM Marković said at the Summit 100.

PM Marković concluded that the West Balkans region and every country within the region no longer have a dilemma which strategic direction they should follow.

"It is a Western system of values," Prime Minister Marković said, adding that this fact defines our key reforms and that the result will come without the need for the countries of the region to compete with each other.
