Marković, Hanegbi: True friendship between two countries was confirmed during summer forest fire

Podgorica, Montenegro (25 October 2017) -- Prime Minister of Montenegro Duško Marković met today with Minister of Regional Cooperation of the State of Israel Tzachi Hanegbi.

Both sides noted that the relations between Montenegro and the State of Israel are relations of sincere and strong friendship, and that this is a good basis for improving economic cooperation. This friendship was confirmed in summer, when Israel was one of the first states to come to help Montenegro when our and several countries of the region were affected by forest fire. "True friendships are recognised in difficult situations," the Prime Minister of Montenegro said.

Prime Minister Marković expressed his satisfaction with the growth of Israeli tourists visiting our country, adding that this is evidence that they consider Montenegro as a safe destination and a perfect place for rest and that they feel good here.

Informing Minister Hanegbi about the strategic politics of the Government of Montenegro, Prime Minister Marković said that investments worth more than EUR 3 billion are being implemented in our country at this moment, and that a favorable investment environment, which includes the lowest rate of profit tax in the region, is also a chance for Israeli investors.
