Podgorica,
Montenegro (1 November 2017) -- During a conversation with the Presidency of
the Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts, Prime Minister Duško Marković said that the activities
of the Academy this year, as well as its plans for 2018, are fully in line with
with the state policy roadmap, and represent a strong impetus to social
cohesion and further development of Montenegro.
“What you do completely coincides with how the Government sees your role in contributing to the State and social cohesion. Your topics hit the centre of our state needs,” the Prime Minister said.
President of the Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts Academician Dragan K. Vukčević announced that the
Academy carried out 17 scientific and research projects in the past year, held
16 international meetings and more than 50 scientific tribunes, published
thirty books and contracted cooperation with six ministries, three universities
and several national institutions and companies, as well as that the Academy
plans in 2018 to implement projects such as marking the 130th anniversary of
the General Property Code of Valtazar Bogišić, Archaeological map of Montenegro,

promoting state continuity and identity.

Sciences and Arts as impressive in the past years, saying that not only a great
number of projects important for Montenegro and the Academy's vision are
rejoicing, but especially the fact that the concluded cooperation agreements
with ministries and universities confirm willingness for cooperation in the
implementation of concrete projects.
“Positive impulses, ideas, messages and advice that I used, and I believe the Government as well, came from here. The Government will therefore support the aforementioned projects of the Academy. There will be no savings. We can save on other positions,” the Prime Minister stated, adding that the next period of social development of our country will be marked by greater investment in science and knowledge.
