PMs Marković, Zaev: Activities on establishing Skopje-Podgorica-Sarajevo airline launched

Bečići, Montenegro (2 November 2017) – Prime ministers of Montenegro and Macedonia, Duško Marković and Zoran Zaev, announced at a working meeting later this afternoon that Montenegro, Macedonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina have launched an initiative to open the Skopje-Podgorica-Sarajevo airline.

Expressing satisfaction with the visit to Montenegro, Prime Minister Zaev also pointed out that this is a good opportunity for bilateral meetings, and that the relations between Montenegro and Macedonia have good perspective. He expressed belief that the activities on the establishment of the Skopje-Podgorica-Sarajevo airline will open up new opportunities for cooperation in the fields of economy, tourism, culture, sports, education and other areas of life.

Prime Minister Duško Marković noted that the meeting is a good opportunity to reaffirm very good interstate relations, quality dialogue at the highest political level and full agreement on common interests that are primarily reflected in the European and Euro-Atlantic agenda.

"Apart from integration interests, Montenegro and Macedonia have a strong interest in improving their economies, contributing to development, thus increasing the quality of life of citizens of both countries. We also talked about what we can do in our own countries, and together, in order to achieve our goal, which is the growth of economy, development, new job creation and a higher standard of living," said Prime Minister Marković. He also welcomed Prime Minister Zaev’s initiative for establishing the Skopje-Podgorica-Sarajevo airline.
