Published on: Nov 9, 2017 • 5:17 PM Author: Ministry of Science

About thirty scientists and researchers currently working in the United States, Great Britain, France and other European countries met with the Minister of Science Dr. Sanja Damjanović on the sidelines of the conference.
Representatives of the scientific diaspora were familiarized with the Initiative for the Establishment of an International Scientific Institute for Sustainable Technologies in South East Europe, as well as the steps that have been taken so far to implement this regional project.
Minister Damjanović took the opportunity to talk with Montenegrin scientists about cooperation on this project, but also on other modalities of cooperation in the future. In an open conversation, the Minister called on diaspora scientists to get actively involved and to indicate the ways in which the effectiveness of the measures taken by the state could be increased, proposing concrete ventures based on their experiences.
The conference participants were pleased that the Ministry of Science recognized the importance of connecting with the scientific community and expressed their desire to participate actively and contribute to improving scientific and research capacities in Montenegro.
