Response: Democratic Montenegro unfoundedly claims that Government discriminates against citizens

Podgorica, Montenegro (11 November 2017) -- Political party Democratic Montenegro claims in its today’s press statement that the Government allegedly discriminates against the citizens.

In order to provide true and complete public information, we are presenting the facts:

After having the 41st Montenegrin Cabinet got voted in, Prime Minister Duško Marković introduced the practice of allocating financial aid to families who had triplets or more children at the same time. In line with this practice, the Government granted assistance to the families Dragović from Bijelo Polje and Jovanović from Nikšić.

Democratic Montenegro is unfoundedly claiming that the Government discriminates against its citizens by territorial affiliation, referring to the family from Cetinje and ignoring the fact that it is a family that had triples before the beginning of the mandate of this Government.

Government of Montenegro has pursued a comprehensive and responsible social policy, especially sensitive to young parents, convinced that the symbolic gesture of sharing the joy of simultaneous birth of more children in one family expresses and articulates the joy of the wider public.
