PM Marković wishes happy Old Royal Capital's Day: Cetinje is symbol of Montenegro and its state-building tradition

Podgorica, Montenegro (13 November 2017) -- Prime Minister Duško Marković sent a letter of congratulations on the occasion of 13 November - Day of the Old Royal Capital Cetinje.
"Old Royal Capital Cetinje is a symbol of Montenegro, and represents the vertical of the Montenegrin state-building tradition. In line with its significance, the Government, by proposing the new Law on the Old Royal Capital, has showed a special sensitivity and attitude towards Cetinje. We are obliged to contribute to its continuous development by investing in infrastructure and restoring cultural and historical monuments in order to preserve the rich Montenegrin tradition," PM Marković said in the congratulatory letter to Mayor of Cetinje Aleksandar Bogdanović and Speaker of the Cetinje Assembly Jovan Martinović.
Prime Minister Marković underlines that on the day of marking the Day of the Old Royal Capital, we should also be happy to have recollections of the results and successes in resolving the development issues of the city, given the fact that the amount of investments exceeds tens of millions of euros this year alone.
"Works on the road through Njeguši are underway, and the construction of a new city stadium and the relocation of important state institutione, namely the residence of the President, the headquarters of the Ministry of Culture and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, are expected to start soon, which will also return to Cetinje the epitome of the administrative centre. I would like you to continue with the realisation of the established plans that will mean a higher quality of life for all the citizens of Cetinje," Prime Minister Duško Marković’s congratulatory letter reads.
