PM Marković visits reconstructed section of Berane-Petnjica road: Works on next section to be continued immediately

Montenegro (14 November 2017) -- Prime Minister Duško Marković visited today the reconstructed section of
Berane-Petnjica road, telling the gathered citizens that works on the next section
will be started next year.

Marković expressed satisfaction with the serious prosecutions of the
Directorate for Public Works, the Government of Montenegro, local
self-government and citizens of Petnjica, pointing out that it is a capital
infrastructural project that is important for this region but also for the whole
Montenegro.
"We said that we will connect Petnjica with Berane with a modern European quality road. By going to this place where we are together now, I really admire this road and I believe that there is no difference from those we have the opportunity to see in the developed countries of Europe," the Prime Minister said.
The Prime Minister announced that the Budget for this year envisages not only the continuation of works on this section, but also the preparation of the project and beginning of works in the next year on the regional road Petnjica-Trpezi-Kalače-Rožaje, so works on this section will begin next year.
The reconstruction of this section, worth EUR 3.442.593,44 started in October 2016, and finished in November this year.
"This is our joint success and I promise you that the Government, together with the local self-government, will do everything in the years to come to make Petnjica a place where young people will stay, to make Petnjica a place to come and stay," the Prime Minister concluded.
