PM Marković at regular meeting with heads of inspection bodies: Results are good, coordination of expenditure side of budget from next year
Podgorica,
Montenegro (15 November 2017) -- Prime Minister Duško Marković assessed at today's meeting with the heads of the
inspection bodies that the practice of regular coordination gave good results
which are primarily reflected in the increase in revenue collection and higher
fiscal discipline, announcing that similar meetings will be held from next year
in order to coordinate the expenditure side of the budget.
The
meeting which was attended by the directors of the Tax Administration Miomir M. Mugoša, the Custom
Administration Vladan Joković and
the Administration for Inspection Affairs Alija
Košuta and their associates, presented the latest data on the revenue side
of the budget from the jurisdiction of the inspection services.
In
October, the Tax Administration collected EUR 80,756,436.53, that is EUR
4,902,352.83 more than ion the same period last year, and EUR 2,551,501.53 more
than billing planned by the budget. In the ten months of 2017, about 30 million
euros was collected more than in 2016, and about 18 million euros above the
plan.
By the
end of October, the Customs Administration collected a gross amount of EUR
576,056,687.41, that is EUR 82,342,764.19 more than in the same period of 2016.
In
September and October, the Administration for Inspection Affairs carried out
9,678 inspections, found 3,000 irregularities, issued 1,307 misdemeanor warrants
to a total of EUR 472,510 of fines, filed 152 requests for initiating a
misdemeanor procedure and 18 criminal charges.
The
Prime Minister expressed satisfaction with the results of the work of the
inspection services. Also, he pointed to the need for the further improvement
of the coordination of state bodies in charge of revenue side of the budget, so
that this part of the system would function in full compliance with the needs
of the society and the policies of the Government. Prime Minister Duško
Marković announced that he will set up similar regular meetings next year in
order to coordinate the expenditure side of the budget.
The
meeting was also attended by Minister of Economy Dragica Sekulić, Minister of Sustainable Development and Tourism Pavle Radulović and Director General of
the Directorate for Tax and Customs System Novo
Radović, on behalf of the Ministry of Finance.
