PM Marković meets with leadership of Municipality of Tivat: Government will focus on most important development issues of municipality
Podgorica,
Montenegro (20 November 2017) -- Prime Minister of Montenegro Duško Marković met today with the
leadership of the Municipality of Tivat – Mayor Snežana Matijević, President of the Municipal Parliament Ivan Novosel and Deputy Mayor Siniša Kusovac. On this occasion, he
emphasised the Government's commitment to focus on the most important
development issues of the Tivat municipality.
Congratulating
the leaders and citizens of Tivat on the Municipal Day, the Prime Minister stressed
that the Government will pay special attention to the issue of building a new
road to the Luštica complex, overcoming the problems related to the functioning
of the wastewater treatment plant, as well as defining a model for solving the
issues related to the implementation of the project "Lukovića barake".
Mayor
of Tivat Matijević and her associates informed the Prime Minister about the
priorities of infrastructure improvement in the municipality of Tivat, such as
the construction of a boulevard, two circular flows in the inner city core, as
well as a Centre for children with special needs. The meeting expressed
willingness to work together on solving the most important issues and improving
the overall situation.
Prime Minister Duško Marković informed the leaders of Tivat about the encouraging results in the implementation of Government policies, pointing to the fact that concrete indicators speak of a visible progress. The treatment of Montenegro by international financial institutions is significantly improved, the credit rating is improved, the business environment and business conditions are improved. According to the Prime Minister, the conditions for accelerated development of Montenegro are being created, and the years to come will be years of development. In this process, the role of municipalities is also significant, as he said.
