Podgorica, Montenegro (4 November 2017) -- Minister of Public Administration Suzana Pribilović and Chairman of the State Agency for Public Services and Social Innovation (ASAN) of Azerbaijan Inam Karimov signed earlier today the Memorandum of Understanding between the two institutions under the leadership of President of Azerbaijan.
“Today’s signing of the memorandum on cooperation and establishment of an advanced public service provision mechanism opens up a new chapter in bilateral relations with Azerbaijan, but also helps implement the public administration reform in Montenegro. The European quality of public services for citizens of Montenegro will no longer be an item on the wish list, but a reality that will ensure the overall social development and a new quality of life. A key mechanism for achieving this goal is the introducing of several "one stop shop" centres in Montenegro according to the Azerbaijani model,” Minister Pribilović said.
“By signing the memorandum, we are adding another pillar - the foundation of bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Montenegro. Five years ago, Azerbaijan launched the public administration reform and made the administration more modern and efficient. Our ultimate goal is to have a public administration that will better serve the citizens. The project titled Azerbaijan Access Network for State Services, ASAN XIDMET, currently consisting of 11 administrative locations across the country, was awarded by the United Nations Public Service in 2015, as the most significant improvement of public services on a world level and the first project of this type. Azerbaijan is aware that the Government of Montenegro has put the public administration reform high on its agenda and I am convinced that in the future we will have joint successes,” said ASAN Chairrman Inam Karimov.
