PM Marković hosts Lithuanian Foreign Minister Linkevičius: Western Balkans' stability is important for secure and whole Europe

Prime Minister Duško Marković hosted Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania Linas Antanas Linkevičius, who is paying visit to Montenegro.
The two officials assessed that the two friendly countries cherish good inter-state relations and share a system of European and Euro-Atlantic values.
Prime Minister Marković expressed gratitude for Lithuania's support in Montenegro's Euro-Atlantic and European integration process, noting that Montenegro particularly appreciates the fact that at the time of the Lithuanian Presidency of the European Union, five negotiating chapters have been opened, including those related to the rule of law and security.
We respect and remember that – the Prime Minister said, adding that he expects relations between the two countries to be strengthened by NATO's partnership and alliance.
Minister Linkevičius announced the continuation of Lithuania's support for European integration of Montenegro as the forerunner in the process, saying that he particularly appreciates Montenegro's position and attitude towards European politics and values.
In this process, Lithuania is committed to progress on the basis of achieved results – Minister Linkevičius said.
PM Marković and Minister Linkevičius agreed that the Western Balkans continues to be the target of external pressures and assessed that the stability of the region is of utmost importance for the security and integrity of Europe.
The meeting also focused on strengthening economic ties, especially in increasing the number of tourists from Lithuania in Montenegro, as well as on Lithuania's achievements and experiences that could be implemented in Montenegro.
