Minister Radulović: We are ready for winter tourist season

Minister of Sustainable Development and Tourism Pavle Radulović said at the press conference following the 54th Cabinet session that the preparations for the upcoming winter tourist season have been going well. The opening of the ski resorts Kolašin 1450 and Vučje is expected tomorrow and the opening of ski resorts Savin Kuk and Javorovača is expected on 20 December, while the rest of the ski resorts will be opened as soon as the weather permits and there is enough snowfall. He added that everything is ready for the upcoming winter tourist season.

All the ski lifts are overhauled, all the tracks are cleaned and we are completely ready for this winter season, the Minister said.

Minister Radulović informed the public about the Proposal of the Law on Tourism and Catering Industry that defines new business models that follow trends which provide Montenegro's competitiveness on the international tourism market, stressing that the goals of combating gray economy in tourism and catering industry were also set.

Presenting the Information on the results of the summer tourist season for 2017, the Minister once again referred to the effects of the summer tourist season, emphasising that the statistics are sufficiently clear and that this is evidenced by the number of visits increased by 17-18 per cent and the number of overnight stays higher by 10-11%, as well as an evident increase in domestic tourists' visits.
