PM Marković hosts Foreign Minister Szijjarto: Hungary to boost investments in Montenegro
Podgorica, Montenegro (19 September 2017) -- Prime Minister Duško Marković hosted earlier today Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary Peter Szijjarto
It was concluded that Montenegro and Hungary foster high-quality bilateral relations based on friendship, respect and mutual interests, and that both sides see opportunities for further boosting relations, especially in terms of economy. In that regard, the meeting also discussed concrete forms of strengthening economic cooperation and the Hungarian investments in Montenegro.
Prime Minister Marković thanked Foreign Minister Szijjarto for everything that Hungary has done for Montenegro over the past 11 years of its Euro-Atlantic and European integration.
"Your role in our integration into NATO is irreplaceable, especially in the last year of the process. Your advice and support were crucial in the final phase," said PM Marković, adding that, after joining NATO, Montenegro focused its capacities on EU integration.
Minister Szijjarto noted that Hungary believes that the European Union's policy of enlargement is the most important European policy and emphasised Hungary's full support for Montenegro’s EU bid and further progress in the negotiation process based on the results achieved.
