Committe for valorisation of agricultural land announces three new public invitations for long-term lease
The Committee for Valorisation of state-owned agricultural land announced three new public invitations to lease 200 hectares of land.
About 157 hectares of land in Vranovići, municipality of Kotor, approximately 34 hectares of land in Golubovci, municipality of Podgorica, and 10 hectares of land in Briska Gora, municipality of Ulcinj, are intended for long-term lease.
The area of about 157 hectares in Vranovići is given in the long-term lease for 30 years, with the aim of raising the modern plantations of olive trees and producing high-quality olive oil.
Approximately 34 hectares of land in Golubovci are offered for lease, with the aim of establishing crops or planting and/or production in a closed area with defined processing. The land is leased for a period of 15 years, with the possibility of extending the lease for another 15 years.
The planting of crops is also foreseen by a public invitation to lease state land of 10 hectares in Briska Gora. The period of lease is 30 years.
The bidder must be registered in the Register of Agricultural Holdings. The bidder should deliver an investment programme with the amount of investment, the number of new jobs, the scope of production and the plan for use of the land.
By announcing new invitations for lease of state-owned agricultural land, the Government continues activities aimed at valorising the complex of land that has not been cultivated for years or decades, and have the potential to significantly contribute to the development through quality projects in the field of agriculture.
