On behalf of the Government of Montenegro and in his own name, Prime Minister Duško Marković congratulated Christmas to the Catholics, and the highest ecclesiastical dignitaries of the Catholic Church in Montenegro, wishing them personal and family happiness.

May the festive inspiration fill the homes of all believers with the noble values of forgiveness and friendship. May we preserve the idea of communion with the closest ones, family, friends and neighbours, and regardless of faith and nation, provide a better future for all of us, the Prime Minister's message to the Archbishop of Bar Rrok Gjonlleshaj and the Bishop of Kotor Ilija Janjić reads.

PM Marković further says that the millennium Montenegro is based on the foundations of coexistence, multiculturalism and multi-confessionalism, and that, precisely by preserving civilizational values, we managed to build a prosperous state, which is a member of NATO and which is on a dynamic path to become a member of the European Union.

I am convinced that guided by faith and justice, we will continue to build a society of richer and satisfied citizens, once again I congratulate you on the holiday with the desire that these festive days bring good health and progress in the homes of everyone, the Prime Minister concluded.
