Prime Minister Duško Marković hosted earlier today Sani Şener, President and CEO of Turkish company TAV Airports, which is interested in investing in Montenegrin airports.

At the meeting, it was jointly assessed that the development of Montenegrin airports is a prerequisite for the development of economy, industry and tourism in Montenegro. The importance of valorisation of the airport for further growth of the tourism economy, which is the leading economic branch in our country, is especially emphasised.

Prime Minister Marković highlighted the Government's clear commitment to creating preconditions for rapid valorisation and development of airports in Podgorica and Tivat, as well as the revitalization of the airport in Berane, announcing that this work will be at the very top of the Government's priorities.

TAV is an internationally renowned company specialised in aerospace business. This company is an investor and operator of large and busy airports on several continents, with significant experience in public-private partnership and concession models, and with reference indicators in terms of their development and full economic exploitation.
