Prime Minister Duško Marković ends official visit to Republic of Kosovo
Prime Minister Duško Marković ended his visit to the Republic of Kosovo on Thursday morning by meeting with Kosovo’s President Hashim Thaci and Speaker of the Parliament Kadri Veseli.
The meetings confirmed the excellent political relations between the two neighbouring and friendly countries, emphasising that both Montenegro and the Republic of Kosovo have clear visions of their future in European integration. The meetings also reiterated Montenegro's support for Kosovo’s European and Euro-Atlantic perspective.
President Thaçi and Speaker of the Parliament Veseli expressed their gratitude to Prime Minister Marković, pointing out the importance of the first official visit of a Prime Minister of Montenegro to the Republic of Kosovo. President Thaci noted that relations between Montenegro and Kosovo should set an example to the entire Western Balkan region.
Congratulating Kosovo's top officials on the tenth anniversary of independence, Prime Minister Marković once again stressed the importance of implementing all the decisions regarding the status of the Montenegrin national community in Kosovo. In that regard, Prime Minister Marković pointed to all the rights enjoyed by members of the Albanian community in Montenegro.
The officials agreed on the need to take concrete actions to enhance infrastructure connectivity and deepen economic ties.
