Minister Bošković meets with Canadian and Croatian counterparts Sajjan and Krstičević

On the second day of the meeting, the ministers have analyzed the results achieved so far on strengthening the collective defense of the Alliance. Significantly significant progress has been made with regard to the implementation of decisions taken at summits in Wels and Warsaw. The meeting also focused on the further realization of individual activities envisaged by the concept of defense and deterrence.
On the margins of the meeting of NATO defense ministers, Minister Bošković had separate meetings with Canada's National Defense Minister Harjit Sajjan and Defense Minister of the Republic of Croatia Damir Krstičević.

In conversation with his Canadian counterpart Minister Bošković thanked the interlocutor for the comprehensive assistance provided by the National Canadian Ministry of Defense to Montenegro in implementing the necessary reforms that resulted in the full membership of Montenegro in the Alliance. He expressed the expectation that the bilateral co-operation between Montenegro and Canada's defense co-operation, as the allies of the alliance, would further deepen. The speakers discussed specific modalities of its development, particularly in the joint participation in NATO's strengthened presence in the East, a part of the combat group in Latvia, where Canada has the role of leading nations.

Bošković and Krstičević expressed their satisfaction with the content and quality of the two countries relations in the field of defence with particular emphasis on Montenegrin cadets education and training of professional military personnel in the Republic of Croatia, on joint participation in the NATO mission Resolute support in Afghanistan and within the US-Adriatic Charter.The dynamics of current issues in bilateral relations between Montenegro and Croatia have been positively assessed and it is concluded that the two countries will continue to cooperate on the basis of good neighborly relations, mutual trust and respect.
