The first meeting of the Steering Committee for the project of “Strengthening National Participation in Horizon 2020”

Yesterday, the Ministry of Science organized the first meeting of the Steering Committee for the “Strengthening National Participation in Horizon 2020” project.
In addition to representatives of the Ministry, the meeting was also attended by representatives of the Ministry of Finance, the Directorate for Contracting and Funding through EU Assistance Funds, representatives of the Delegation of the European Union in Podgorica, as well as the head of the expert team of the IBF consulting company, Mr. Alex Percy Smith.
At the meeting, the Report on Project Activity Progress was presented, encompassing the period from the beginning of implementation on 18 January 2017. In addition, the steps have been agreed upon to be taken in the forthcoming period, in order to successfully complete the project.
The Framework Agreement for Strengthening National Participation in the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation – Horizon 2020 is implemented within the framework of the European Union Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA), through Component IV – Human Resources Development Operational Programme 2012–2013.
The implementation of the project has commenced on 18 January 2017 and will last for 10 months.
The total value of the project is EUR 299,000.
