The fourth training cycle for development and implementation of project ideas under Horizon 2020 completed

In the period from 26 to 30 June 2017, in cooperation with the European Commission, the Ministry of Science organized the fourth of the six training cycles for strengthening national participation in the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation – Horizon 2020.
The five-day training was attended by representatives of S&T, Amplitudo, International Technical Coating, Specialist Veterinary Laboratory, PRONA Foundation, Faculty for Information Technology (Mediteran University), Ministry of Health, BIO-ICT Centre of Excellence and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering (University of Montenegro).
The programme consists of eight modules: the structure of the applicant institutions, project management, the structure of the H2020 programme, preparation of the project proposals, the preparation process, drafting of project proposals, evaluation of project proposals, and project implementation process.
During the training, which was conducted by experts of the IBF consulting company from Brussels, Alex Percy Smith, Marc Bigret, Jacek Gajewski and Birgit Kerstens, the participants had the opportunity to get acquainted with the new concept of programme promotion at the national level.
The network of national contact persons for the thematic areas was presented by Branka Žižić, the National Coordinator for Horizon 2020 programme. The trainees also received more information on the activities on the implementation of the COST programme (European Cooperation in Science and Technology), presented by the national contact person Milena Milonjić.
The trainings for development and implementation of project ideas under the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation – Horizon 2020 are implemented within the framework of IPA Component IV – the Human Resources Development Operational Programme 2012–2013, through the project of “Strengthening National Participation in Horizon 2020”.
The fifth training cycle is planned for the period of 4–8 September 2017.
