The last training cycle for strengthening national participation in Horizon 2020 completed
The sixth training cycle for development and implementation of project ideas under the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation – Horizon 2020 (2014–2020), organized by the Ministry of Science and European Commission, was completed today.
The programme participants were very satisfied with the training programme and according to their statements they had, thanks to exceptional lecturers, the opportunity to get comprehensive information to prepare future projects in a high-quality manner.
The training was implemented through the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA), through the project of “Strengthening National Participation in Horizon 2020”, and was attended by the representatives of the Chamber of Commerce, BIO-ICT Centre of Excellence, Public Health Institute, Ingispekt company, Secretariat for Spatial Planning and Development and Environmental Protection, and the Faculty for Food Technology, Food Safety and Ecology.
Sandra Perić from the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro said that the training was of great use for her, given that she was a member of the projects department only for a while.
-The training was useful and concrete, especially because I had the opportunity to learn more about the Horizon 2020 programme. The lecturers were also great and explained to us the manner in which they carry out project evaluation, which is useful to us for future applications, Perić said.
Božidar Škrbić from the BIO-ICT Centre of Excellence shared similar impressions, stressing how satisfied he was for having the opportunity to see what the preparation process and idea development looked like on specific examples.
-We heard a lot of useful things about the EU programmes, the manner and project management. In addition, useful advice was provided, for example, with regard to how to write an effective CV or present an idea. The lecturers were excellent, they drew our attention to important segments, doing so through practical examples, Škrbić explained.
The programme encompassed the entire process of preparation and development of project ideas, creating consortia, the manner of applying, budgeting, administrative and contracting procedures, as well as managing a specific project.
The training was conducted by experts of the IBF consulting company, Alex Percy Smith and Marc Bigret.
