Minister of Foreign Affairs prof. Dr Srđan Darmanović, today spoke with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina (B&H), Igor Crnadak, who is on an official visit to Montenegro.

Minister Darmanović emphasised that the relations between Montenegro and B&H are friendly and content, and that they are strengthened by common European goals and regional context.

"The meeting was also an opportunity to review our perspectives in European integration, with particular reference to the recently published Enlargement Strategy, which, in our belief, gives the chance to the region to make it even stronger on the European agenda, which both countries are very steadily following," concluded Darmanović .

Minister Crnadak underlined the Region should maintain the contacts at the highest level, such as Montenegro and B&H, as it creates preconditions for lasting stability and development.

Speaking about the European integration of the Region, Crnadak said that the EU Strategy represents a chance for all countries that have progressed fast enough and fulfilled their obligations to become members of the Union.

The interlocutors agreed that the signing of the State Border Treaty between Montenegro and B&H is an example of how border issues in the Region should be addressed.
