PM Marković hosts Dr. Alice: Donation of resonance for children's diagnosis is more than gesture of humanity, it shows your attitude to our country
Podgorica, Montenegro (11 April 2018) -- Prime Minister Duško Marković hosted Dr. Nicholas Alice and his business partners on occasion of yesterday's handover of a new magnetic resonance device, worth over EUR 500.000, to the Institute for Children’s Diseases of the Clinical Centre of Montenegro, of which 400,000 euros is a donation provided by Dr. Alice.
Thanking Dr. Alice for the donation, Prime Minister Marković said that this is a great gesture for the citizens of Montenegro, which will enable children to get the best health care:
"For us in Montenegro, this is more than a gesture of humanity. It shows your attitude to our State. Citizens of Montenegro will know how to appreciate this," he underlined.
Dr. Alice expressed satisfaction that he has the opportunity to help the Montenegrin healthcare, stressing that he is grateful to the Prime Minister for the effective realisation of the donation and the former Prime Minister for the idea of collecting donations for the magnetic resonance device.
The donation contract was signed on 18 January, after the Cabinet, at its 54th session, which took place on 14 December 2017, reviewed and adopted the Information on the need of provision of donor funds for the purchase of the MR Essenza 1.9T Tim + Dot magnet for the needs of the Institute for the Children's Diseases of the Clinical Centre of Montenegro, with the Proposal of the donation contract between the Clinical Centre of Montenegro and Dr. Nicholas Alice and his business partners from the United Arab Emirates. The Cabinet accepted the donation contract and tasked Director of the Clinical Centre Zorica Kovačević to sign the contract.
The meeting was attended, on behalf of the group of donors, by businessmen from the United Arab Emirates - Chairman and Managing Director of Al Ansari Exchange Mohammad Al Ansari and Managing Director of Ali & Sons Co. L.L.C Shamis Bin Ali Al Dhaheri, who expressed interest in expanding their business and investing in Montenegro.
In that regard, Prime Minister Marković informed the businessmen about excellent economic results and strategic goals of the Government, as well as the favourable investment opportunities offered by Montenegro.
Managing directors Al Ansari Exchange and Ali & Sons Co. L.L.C expressed interest in returning to Montenegro to get acquainted with the the country's investment opportunities. In that context, their next visit was agreed, during which concrete resources and projects for investing, especially in northern region, should be presented to them.
The meeting was also attended by Managing Director of the Clinical Centre of Montenegro Zorica Kovačević.
