On Friday, 16 March 2018, a meeting of representatives of the Ministry of Science with managers of projects approved within the Competition for Strengthening Participation in Horizon 2020 and COST programmes was held at the Ministry of Science.
Previously, in late December 2017, 17 projects were approved under this Competition, 14 of which related to involvement in research covered by the current projects of international scientific cooperation (5 projects related to research under Horizon 2020 programme and 9 projects related to COST programme actions), while 3 projects related to the preparation of projects under the upcoming competitions of the Horizon 2020 programme.
The project managers briefly outlined the work plans for projects in 2018, after which a discussion followed on the experiences and problems encountered by the project teams at the beginning of project implementation, which mostly related to the procurement of equipment.
At the end of the meeting, given the great interest of our scientific community to participate in the COST programme, project managers provided several concrete proposals to improve national procedures for inclusion in COST actions.
