The Ministry of Science and the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre “Tehnopolis” invite you to an official ceremony on the occasion of opening a collaborative “coworking” space, to take place in Tehnopolis in Nikšić, on 10 May 2018 at 5:00pm.
Coworking spaces are becoming mandatory urban places of today, in which people work as independent entrepreneurs or enterprises in the initial stage of development, using the spatial capacities of innovation centres, such as Tehnopolis, as well as all the benefits of networking, collaboration and launching joint ventures. The premises have been equipped thanks to the EU project in which Tehnopolis is a partner, “Cooperation for Development of Cross Border Business Environment – CODE” from the Interreg IPA CBC Croatia – Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro.
At the same time, through discussion of the guests present and the start-up community in Montenegro, the event will be an opportunity to raise public awareness on the issues of start-ups and technology companies in Montenegro, as well as, more generally, on the national innovation ecosystem. The discussion should result in guidelines for the activities of state authorities in creating a favourable economic, scientific and innovation environment. This will be an important step for the preparation of the national start-up support programme, which is planned for December 2018 in the Government’s Work Programme.
The lecture will be held by the founders of “BeeAnd.Me” start-up, Elma Hot and Alija Dervić, who recently won the World Summit Award (WSA) in Vienna, a world-renowned award for their development. For 15 years now, the WSA has become a symbol of quality for digital content with a social impact in more than 180 participating countries.
The second lecture will be held by Mr. Janko Burgar, a guest from Slovenia and one of the founders of the fast-growing technology company “CosyLab” from Ljubljana, which has commercialized the knowledge of its founders and now operates on the world market, selling its products and services, inter alia, to CERN.
Guests will also be addressed by the Minister of Science, Dr. Sanja Damjanović, as well as by Tehnopolis Director, Mr. Ratko Bataković, while the discussion on the topic of start-ups and technology companies will be led by Dražen Žujović, Aleksandar Dlabač, Miloš Milošević and Predrag Lešić.
