“Challenges in Establishing the Science and Technology Park in Montenegro” Workshop

In cooperation with the University of Montenegro, the Ministry of Science of Montenegro is organizing a workshop entitled “Challenges in Establishing the Science and Technology Park in Montenegro”. The workshop will take place at the Rectorate of the University of Montenegro, on 10 May 2018, at 9:00am.

The establishment of the Science and Technology Park (STP) in Podgorica, a joint project of the Ministry of Science and the University of Montenegro, is one of the strategic priorities of the Government of Montenegro, as well as one of the most important scientific research and innovative projects that should unite entrepreneurial, innovative, scientific and economic capacities and establish a strong link with local and regional business centres, incubators and clusters.

The lecturer at the workshop will be Mr. Janko Burgar, an expert in developing business models in one of the best known fast-growing companies in Slovenia, CosyLab, and former State Secretary at the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Public Administration of Slovenia. Mr. Burgar will present the entrepreneurial and start-up ecosystem in Slovenia, as well as their experience in establishing the STP, discussing with the participants of the workshop the possible solutions to the current challenges in establishing this infrastructure in Montenegro.

The participants of the workshop will also be addressed by the Minister of Science, Dr. Sanja Damjanović.
