Novi Sad: Deputy Prime Minister Milutin Simović meet with Prime Minister of Province of Vojvodina Igor Mirović
Deputy Prime Minister Milutin Simović, President of the Chamber of Commerce Vlastimir Golubović and Montenegrin General Consul in Serbia Miodrag Kankaraš, met with the President of the Provincial Government of Vojvodina Igor Mirović and delegation of the Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina.
During the meeting, the possibilities of improving the economic cooperation between Montenegro and Vojvodina were considered.
The interlocutors agreed that in order to strengthen the connection, the construction of road Corridor 11, as well as the reconstruction of the railway from Belgrade to Bar, is going on. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Milutin Simović said that relations between two countries are good and friendly, adding it is important that economic cooperation be two-way and focus on the welfare of both nations.
"We are happy with the initiative which you are launching for the construction of the highway section to Boljare. We believe that there is a necessity of bias in our commodity trade and that it can lead to further economic co-operation. Our chambers realize the cooperation for example and the chambers needs to bring this energy of cooperation to the whole region." underlined DPM Simović.
The Prime Minister of the Provincial Government of the Republic of Serbia, Igor Mirović, said that the cooperation with Montenegro for Vojvodina is very significant, as he pointed out Montenegro is at the 11th place among the countries where the export from the Province is realized.
"All that the economy creates is a kind of foundation for the development of all other areas." said Mirović.
The delegation of Montenegro is visiting Serbia for two days, on the occasion of holding the International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad. The delegation also consist of 50 businessmen from Montenegro.
