PM Marković hosts Leitner's owner: We got great partner for one of our strategic development projects in North

Prime Minister Duško Marković hosted Martin Leitner, the owner of the Italian company Leitner, which is responsible for construction of a EUR 4 million worth ropeway from Podvrh to Đalović Cave and a EUR 8 million worth 6-seater ropeway at the location of Cmiljača.
Informing his guest about the results of the Government's successful economic policy and its commitment and focus on the effective valorisation of development projects, especially in the Northern Region, the Prime Minister expressed satisfaction with the fact that Leitner company, as one of the leading manufacturers of ropeways in the world, recognized the interest to operate in Montenegro as well as that it has chosen renowned Montenegrin company Novi Volvox for its partner.
"We have got a great partner for one of our strategic development projects in the North, which will be a new tourist attraction of Montenegro with great opportunities for development and employment. As a Government, we are determined to turn development potentials, which are undisputed, to new value as soon as possible for the good of citizens and the state," Prime Minister Marković said.
The owner of Leitner informed Prime Minister Marković about business results, balances, references and technical achievements of 130 years old conglomerate with more than 3,000 employees.
"We are from Bolzano, which means a combination of German technical perfection and Italian design," Martin Leitner said, adding that his company will confirm the ability to implement a significant development project in Montenegro in line with expectations.
According to the Agreement, which was signed last week, the deadline for putting the ropeways into operation is 18 months - November 2019.
The meeting was also attended by Leitner's Commercial Director Dominic Bosio, Leitner's representative for the Balkans Franc Furlani, Leitner's Project Manager in Montenegro Giacomo Trattenero, Leitner's partner for the Balkans Zoran Kostić, and one of the owners of Novi Volvox Vladan Ivanović and Executive Director of Novi Volvox Mila Milović.
