The representatives of the Government of Montenegro, the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro and Investment and Development Fund of Montenegro signed today an agreement on cooperation, which continues the project "Buy domestic products" (Kupujmo domaće) with the aim of including the tourism industry in the promotion and better placement of Montenegrin products and services.

The project "Homemade flavours" (Domaći ukusi) is a continuation of the project "Buy domestic products", which was initiated by the Government of Montenegro in cooperation with the Chamber of Economy, i.e. producers and retail chains. On that occasion, a meeting of domestic producers, hoteliers and restaurateurs was organised today.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Milutin Simović expressed his satisfaction with this gathering.

DPM Simović noted that Montenegro is recognised as a favourite tourist destination and open, secure and stable country, adding that Montenegro is recognised by tourists for its rich tourist offer and that it will be recognised for its domestic tastes.

The Deputy Prime Minister gave recognition to all Montenegrin producers, who took part in this year's prestigious Novi Sad Fair, which gathered over 1,500 exhibitors from more than 50 countries. The Montenegrin producers deservedly won 129 awards.

DPM Simović said that these awards are encouraging not only for the agricultural sector but also for the whole economy.

Being a champion in every field is very demanding. It is not easy to become a champion. Years of work, dedication, plenty of effort and sweat are needed, and in the agricultural sector, I think that every award has its particular value and importance. This recognition achieved in the agricultural sector has a special value because it is the result of hard work that is being carried out on agricultural holdings, in processing plants, it is the result of long-term commitment, the daily acquisition of new knowledge, the result of an ideal connection between the generous gifts of our nature and new knowledge and valuable work of our managers, DPM Simović said.
