Bijelo Polje ( 6 June 2018)-- The allocation of the support solutions to the agricultural producers from Bijelo Polje, Berane and Petnjica, at public calls from the Agrobudget for procurement of new cattle, processing and storage of manure was an opportunity for a new meeting between the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Milutin Simović with agricultural producers from North.

DPM Simović expressed his satisfaction with the re-encounter and the new opportunity for continuing dialogue and communication with producers, which resulted in confidence and positive trends in agriculture and the development of rural areas. "Yesterday we were together in Pljevlja, today in Bijelo Polje, as we will do in the upcoming period in other municipalities. Just as we were in February, March, April and May, we continue to communicate in June and in the coming months, " DPM  Simović said.

DPM Simović pointed out that the agriculture sector is the largest open-air production facility in Montenegro, which is hosted by a large number of hosts and members of their families, and whose work is demanding and continuous throughout the year. "There are no special occasions, nor need of motive for meetings with agricultural producers. This is our regular job, it is our professional and human obligation. To be on the ground, to share thoughts with you, we give answers in relation to your requests and applications for support, define new goals and our new joint overtones, " DPM Simović stressed out.

The message of encouragement and additional obligations and responsibilities towards Bijelo Polje, Pljevlja, and the whole north for the Deputy Prime Minister is the fact that shows the citizens clearly recognised the ways of progress. "It is clear that the North can do more, wants more  and for sure, more belongs to it. On the track of this responsibility, the Government will be further dedicated to the north of Montenegro, with the basic common goals - to contribute together with responsible local administrations, entrepreneurs and valuable hosts to job creation, to provide a more competitive economy wherever a new value is created and raising quality of life of citizens ", Minister Simović pointed out.

In Bijelo Polje, solutions were provided for support for livestock procurement, manure disposal and processing for producers from  municipalities  Berane and Petnjica. The total value of the approved investments is EUR 2 million, for which the Ministry of Agriculture will receive grants in the amount of slightly over1 million. 47 beneficiaries received grants in the amount of more than EUR 225.000.

DPM Simović said that he was encouraged by the positive trends that are recorded in the results of public calls."The live stock fund will be increased by 625 heads of large cattle and 2200 small animals, which means that it grows year after year.''

Deputy Prime Minister Simović also shared with the farmers satisfaction with the encouraging preliminary results of a public call for support to primary production through IPARD. "We will soon present the results of the IPARD call, but now we can say that we are more than satisfied, especially if we know the comparative experiences of other countries in the use of EU funds. From Bijelo Polje, we received significant 72 requests from farmers who want to use this significant incentive." DPM Simović concluded.
