Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Milutin Simović and Mayor of the Old Royal Capital Cetinje Aleksandar Kašćelan opened tonight the newly built complex - the Ethno Village Sveti Georgije (St. George) in Njeguši.
The Ethno Village, located in Krstac, employees 32 persons, and in the following period, another ten workers will be hired. The tourist resort has accommodation capacities within 15 bungalows and two apartments, modernly equipped and environmentally-aligned, with numerous accompanying and exclusive amenities for rest and recreation. Approximately EUR 7.5 million have been invested in the construction of the complex.
At the opening ceremony, DPM Simović, expressed satisfaction that "every day, throughout Montenegro, we witness successful achievements of creative, bold and sustainable entrepreneurial ideas. We are proud that Montenegro is an increasingly frequent address of entrepreneurship visions in many areas, which are implemented by both domestic and foreign entrepreneurs".
He expressed satisfaction with the achievement of another entrepreneurial vision, especially as the project is being implemented in the Old Royal Capital, in Njeguši - "a symbol of our state, historical, libertarian and cultural identity, values and durability".
DPM Simović emphasised that the valorisation of all these advantages is possible in a favourable business environment, which the Government is devoted to build and promote in continuous, open and partnership communication with local self-government, entrepreneurs, business and investment community, both domestic and foreign.
The successful implementation of this and many other entrepreneurial ideas and projects is, according to him, the best confirmation of the justification of the overall efforts that the Government invests continuously in strategic development planning, strengthening of the business environment, as well as confirmation that Montenegro is an attractive tourist and investment destination.
DPM Simović said that he is sure that this complex will contribute to further efforts and results of both local and Montenegrin economy with its successful work, that its employees will work hard and be motivated for such work, that it will ensure a socially responsible and partnership relationship with local community and that mutually beneficial cooperation with domestic food producers will be established.
Mayor of the Old Royal Capital Cetinje Aleksandar Kašćelan expressed his satisfaction with the implementation of the project in Njeguši and the opportunity to celebrate the business success of investors, their associates, local communities, and especially, as he said, local citizens who are solving one of the most important life issues – employment.
The Mayor pointed out that opening new jobs, stimulating local economy, providing stimulating investment and business measures, connecting domestic producers and promoting domestic products are just some of the development priorities of the administration of the Old Royal Capital Cetinje.
"We strongly support government policies aimed at developing entrepreneurship and self-employment, administrative capacity and overall infrastructure. We believe that in the synergy of local and national authorities, business associations, domestic and foreign companies and investors, we can create preconditions for accelerated growth and sustainable development," Kašćelan said.
