PR ServicePodgorica, Montenegro (25 June 2018) -- Prime Minister Duško Marković hosted earlier today President of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of Morocco Habib El Malki, who is paying an official visit to Montenegro.

It was noted that the two friendly states foster good and meaningful bilateral relations established during Yugoslavia, and that both Montenegro and Morocco see a common interest in further enhancing cooperation, especially in terms of economy.

Prime Minister Marković informed the Moroccan official about political and economic priorities of the Government, stressing that security and internal stability were the most important preconditions for excellent results the Government of Montenegro has achieved in the last year and in the first half of this year in the field of economy.

"Montenegro is a small country that attaches great importance to stability and security, as our economic prosperity and our goals, namely raising the standard of living and the quality of life of citizens, depend on them," said Prime Minister Duško Marković.

President of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of Morocco Habib El Malki congratulated the Prime Minister on Montenegro's membership in NATO, noting that it contributes to the stability of the Western Balkans. The fact that the country was credited with joining the North Atlantic Alliance is an indicator of Montenegro's international reputation, he underscored.

The meeting highlighted Montenegro's interest in using the Moroccan experiences in the use of solar energy.
