Cardinal Secretary of State Pietro Parolin to pay official visit to Montenegro on Wednesday

Prime Minister Duško Marković will host on Wednesday Cardinal Secretary of State Pietro Parolin, who will pay an official visit to Montenegro.

Official talks between top officials of the executive authorities of Montenegro and the Holy See will be an opportunity to further deepen the excellent bilateral relations that share the fundamental civilizational values of peace and justice. Relations between Montenegro and the Vatican date back to 1886 when the Concordat between Montenegro and the Holy See was signed.

Prime Minister Marković and Cardinal Parolin will address the public after the official talks.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION FOR MEDIA:

The media can record the ceremony of the formal reception of the Cardinal Secretary of State and the addresses of PM Marković and Cardinal Parolina.

The Ceremony of the formal reception of the Cardinal Secretary of State will be organised in front of the main entrance of the Villa "Gorica" starting at 12:00.

Representatives of the media interested in recording the ceremony of the formal reception should be in Villa "Gorica" by 11:30.

Prime Minister Duško Marković and Cardinal Pietro Parolin will make statements to the public at 13:15.

Media representatives willing to record the press statements should be in Villa "Gorica" by 12:45.

The Public Relations Service of the Government of Montenegro will provide the media with photos and video of the formal reception, the beginning of the meeting and the addresses of the Prime Minister and the Cardinal Secretary of State.

Journalists and cameramen who have annual accreditation issued by the Government of Montenegro can enter the Villa Gorica by using the accreditation card, along with ID card. Journalists and cameramen who have no annual accreditation issued by the Government of Montenegro must seek the issuance of the daily accreditation by sending a letter on official letterhead of the media signed by a person in charge at: pr@gov.me by Wednesday, 27 June at 10:00.
