Podgorica, Montenegro (2 July 2018) -- Prime Minister Duško Marković hosted earlier today a farewell visit by non-resident Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt (headquartered in Prague) Abderahman Salaheldin.

Both sides expressed satisfaction with the friendly relations between Montenegro and Egypt, as well as the interest in improving bilateral cooperation and the dynamism of political dialogue.

Prime Minister Marković thanked Ambassador Salaheldin for contributing to strengthening Montenegrin-Egyptian relations and numerous initiatives initiated during his term of office

He particularly emphasised the importance of implementing the largest tourist project in Montenegro - the Lustica Bay, and the opening of the first phase of the project, which is a successful example of cooperation between the two countries.

Ambassador Salaheldin called for intensification of economic contacts for the purpose of boosting the Egyptian investments, primarily through linking and establishing cooperation between the chambers of commerce of the two countries and the setting up of an intergovernmental economic committee.

The two officials commended the cooperation in the field of culture, based on the recently signed cooperation agreement in this area, and pointed out the interest in cooperation in the field of tourism and maritime transport - through connecting the ports of Bar and Alexandria, as well as in other areas of mutual importance.
