Joint session of governments of Montenegro and Albania
Podgorica, Montenegro (2 July 2018) -- The governments of Montenegro and Albania will hold a joint session in Shkodra on Tuesday, 3 June, 2018.
The first session that the Government of Montenegro organises with another country confirms the friendly relations between Montenegro and Albania and the strong ties of the Montenegrin and Albanian people and the opportunity to open a dialogue between the two countries on numerous issues of mutual interest.
Following the session, several documents will be signed, as follows:
1. Joint Declaration of the Government of Montenegro and the Government of Albania;
2. Agreement between the Government of Montenegro and the Council of Ministers Albania on cooperation and mutual assistance in emergency situations;
3. Agreement between the Government of Montenegro and the Council of Ministers of Albania on the opening of the joint border crossing Ckla-Zogaj for international cargo and passenger traffic;
4. Agreement between the Government of Montenegro and the Council of Ministers of Albania on cooperation in the area of cross-border operations within the Air Policing Mission;
5. Framework Agreement between the Government of Montenegro and the Council of Ministers of Albania on mutual relations in the field of transboundary waters management;
6. Cultural Cooperation Programme between the Ministry of Culture of Montenegro and the Ministry of Culture of Albania for the period 2018-2020;
7. Agreement on cooperation of chambers of commerce; and
8. Memorandum of Understanding between the Agency for the Promotion of Foreign Investments of Montenegro and the Agency for Investment and Development of Albania.
Following the session, the Montenegro - Albania Business Forum, sponsored by the Union of the Chambers of Commerce of Albania and the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro, will take place, where the business community representatives will discuss the improvement of cooperation in the areas of trade, tourism, energy, transport, agriculture, IT, trade and tourism and wood processing.
