PMs Marković, Rama: Good neighbourly relations without open issues connect Montenegro and Albania

Prime Ministers of Montenegro and Albania Duško Marković and Edi Rama jointly concluded today at a press conference in Shkodër, following a joint government session, that the two countries are connected through good neighbourly relations, that there are no open issues, and that they are a guarantor of good relations between the national minority on both sides of the border.

Prime Minister Marković was pleased to assess that on the Euro-Atlantic path the two countries turn their good interstate relations into joint actions, especially stressing that relations between Montenegro and Albania must be enriched by economic cooperation.

He reiterated that Montenegro and Albania share common values on their path to the Euro-Atlantic family and took the opportunity to praise Albania's efforts on this path.

Referring to the successfully concluded session of the two governments today in Shkodër, as well as various signed agreements in several areas, Prime Minister Rama expressed his satisfaction over the achieved cooperation and stressed that the two countries remain committed to eliminating barriers through companies interested in acting on both sides of the border.
