Prime Minister Duško Marković hosted a farewell visit by Hungarian Ambassador Krisztián Pósa.
PM Marković thanked the Ambassador Pósa for his extraordinary engagement, noting that Hungary's strong and continuous support to Montenegro during our integration into NATO, as well as in the process of our European integration, is to a large extent the result of the Ambassador's engagement.
Your engagement was much more than protocol and diplomatic service. You were more than an Ambassador. We value this, and that's why we see you as a friend of Montenegro, Prime Minister Marković said.
Ambassador Pósa thanked the Prime Minister for the trust that Montenegro has shown to Hungary, as well as for trusting it as the contact country during our integration into NATO.
That's why we see this success as a joint effort. As we wanted to see you as soon as possible in NATO, Hungary wants to see Montenegro as soon as possible in the European Union, Ambassador Pósa said.
The meeting noted that Hungary and Montenegro significantly improved their relations during the five-year term of office of Ambassador Pósa, which will be crowned by the forthcoming official visit of Prime Minister Viktor Orbán to Montenegro.
PM Marković and Ambassador Pósa noted that Montenegro has advanced far more than it was the case five years ago, and that our country is a great place for Hungarian investors.
You just need to open your eyes and see that big change for the better, the Ambassador said.
The meeting also discussed concrete development projects, especially in the Northern Region, which will be the topic of the official talks between Prime Ministers Marković and Orbán.
