Ministry of Science allocates 1 million euro to co-finance innovative projects

At today's session, the Montenegrin Cabinet adopted the Grant Programme for innovative projects of the Ministry of Science, which defines the funds for co-financing innovative projects in the total amount of EUR 1,000,000 for the period 2018-2020. The process of two-stage evaluation of applications will be carried out by international experts, Head of the Directorate for Innovation and Infrastructure in the Ministry Marijeta Barjaktarović Lanzardi said at today's press conference.
The aim of the Programme is to strengthen the competitiveness of Montenegrin companies that have great potential for commercialisation and market application, to support the transfer of innovative ideas from scientific research institutions to the market through cooperation with business partners or by opening new companies / spin-off companies in Montenegro, as well as creating new jobs.
Innovation projects will be supported under the following thematic priorities set out in the Strategy for Innovative Activities (2016-2020): Energy, Agriculture and Food, Sustainable Development and Tourism, Information and Communication Technologies, Medicine and Human Health and New Materials, products and services.
The Ministry of Science will approve the co-financing in the amount of up to EUR 100,000 by the accepted grant, and the projects will be co-financed for a period of 12 to 24 months. The implementation of the projects will cover the period from December 2018 to December 2020 at the latest.
