PM Marković meets with CCCC Vice President Sun Ziyu in Sofia: Mutual goal is completion of motorway priority section in 2019

Prime Minister Duško Marković and Vice President of Chinese company CCCC Sun Ziyu agreed at a meeting held in Sofia today that last year's works on the priority section of the Bar-Boljare motorway were very successful and that it is in the mutual interest to continue the works with even greater intensity in order to create the conditions to complete the priority section next year.

This is an opportunity for another achievement of our strong partnership on the project of the century for Montenegro, Prime Minister Marković said at the meeting organised within the Summit of China and 16 countries of Central and Eastern Europe. The Prime Minister said that the capital budget allocated money for the construction of the motorway and that he expects a new momentum and new energy in order to compensate some delays from the beginning of the project and to create conditions to continue works on other sections immediately after the completion of the priority section.

I visited the works three times last year. Now I will be directly involved, because this is a project of greatest interest for Montenegro, PM Marković said.

The CCCC Vice President stressed the importance of the project for the company, saying that CCCC wants to show its capabilities in Europe by building a priority section of the Bar-Boljare motorway.

Prime Minister Marković reiterated that the plan of the Government of Montenegro is to build the following sections on the principle of public-private partnership and that the procedure will be transparent and public.

The meeting was also attended by Executive Director of CCCC International Wang Jingchun and President of the CRBC Du Fei.
