DPM Simović attends inauguration of Recep Tayyip Erdogan

Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Policy and Financial System and Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Milutin Simović attended the inauguration of President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The event was attended by about fifty presidents of states, governments, parliaments and high-ranking state officials.

DPM Simović congratulated Erdogan on taking oath of office as Turkey's first executive president. He expressed his belief that the new Cabinet, to be headed by Erdogan, will lead Turkey and its people towards development, progress and stability. He stressed that Montenegro will be a true friend of Turkey and will contribute to the further development of cooperation between the two countries in all fields.

President Erdogan thanked Deputy Prime Minister Simović for his presence and respect that Montenegro has shown toward Turkey. He confirmed the readiness of Turkey and himself to continue the friendly cooperation with Montenegro in favour of the people of both countries.

DPM Simović used the opportunity to meet with numerous Turkish officials.

In conversation with President of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) Serdar Cham, DPM Simović expressed appreciation for numerous projects that TIKA implemented throughout Montenegro. Mr Cham noted that TIKA and Government of Montenegro haveestablished continuous and open cooperation and pointed out that the cooperation will continue and intensify in the future.

Deputy Prime Minister Simović also met with Fuat Tosyali, owner of the Tosyali company, who owns the Nikšić Steelworks. Both sides voiced satisfaction with the fact that Montenegro has shown interest in further improving relations with Turkey, especially in the field of economy and trade.

DPM Simović urged Turkish business people to focus their attention and business plans even more intensively towards Montenegro and use the competitive investment framework created by the Government of Montenegro.
