Sports Minister Janović: Continuation of support for infrastructure projects for schools and activities of children and youth

In previous years, the Ministry of Sports supported the adaptation of 13 sports infrastructure projects in 11 municipalities. It will continue the investment cycle this year through support for another 7 infrastructure projects worth over EUR 160,000, which will contribute to the improvement of school sports infrastructure and the creation of the necessary conditions for sports and re-inventive activities of children, youth and citizens, Minister of Sports Nikola Janović told a press conference following the Cbinet session.

Minister Janović said that 8 of 13 approved projects have already been implemented, and that the remaining five should have been completed by the end of the year.

"Speaking in the language of numbers, the total value of supported projects is over half a million euros, of which the Ministry of Sports provided about EUR 450,000, " Minister Janović said.

When it comes to projects for this year, Minister Nikola Janović specified that these activities focused on the adaptation of the gymnasium "Luka Simonović" in Niksić; arrangement of existing terraces in the courtyard of the Central Electro-technical School "Vaso Aligrudić" and adaptation of the pedestrian sale "Radojica Perović" in Podgorica; adaptation of the pedestrian sale of the "Marko Miljanov" Elementary School in Bijelo Polje and reconstruction of the terrain in the yard of the "Vuko Jovović" school in Danilovgrad.

"In addition, the Ministry of Sports has adopted the request of the Student House of Podgorica for the realisation of a project aimed at creating the necessary conditions for pupils and students for sport within the complex they are staying in. Also, the Special Psychiatric Hospital of Kotor was approved, where financial support for the project was devoted to the realisation of the appropriate conditions for engaging in sports activities in the mentioned institution. With funding beneficiaries, the Ministry of Sports will conclude financing agreements, after which the realistion of the projects will be approached," Minister of Sports Nikola Janović noted.
