The Ministry of Justice received an official notice that, on the basis of successful international cooperation between the Montenegrin and Kosovo police, acting on the Interpol warrant issued by Montenegro, Milošević Mario, Pavićević Đorđije, Vujačić Vukan and Mašanović Igor were deprived of liberty in the Republic of Kosovo.

This created conditions for the Ministry of Justice to request from the competent authorities of the Republic of Kosovo extradition of those persons to Montenegro.

Montenegro has issued international Interpol warrants for Marija Milošević, Vukan Vujačić and Igor Mašanović in order to conduct criminal proceedings for criminal offense of serious murder. Đorđije Pavićević is wanted because he escaped from the Special Psychiatric Hospital in Kotor where he was serving a prison sentence for the criminal offense of kidnapping and attempted extortion.

The Ministry of Justice has also been informed that Vujačić and Mašanović are in the Retention Center in the Republic of Kosovo in order to conduct criminal proceeding for criminal offences committed in the Republic of Kosovo.

Expecting these persons to be extradited and brought to justice in Montenegro, we emphasise that close cooperation between the states is the most effective way of fighting against organised crime as a threat to the security of citizens and the overall development and prosperity of every society.
