Cabinet appoints Veselin Veljović as Director of Police Directorate

On Monday, 30 July 2018, the Montenegrin Cabinet, without holding a session, based on the obtained consent of the majority of the members of the Cabinet, in accordance with Article 10 of the Regulation on the Government of Montenegro, pursuant to Article 9 paragraph 2 of the Law on Internal Affairs, after receiving the opinion of the Parliament of Montenegro, adopted a Decision on the appointment of Veselin Veljović as Director of the Police Directorate.

Based on the obtained consent of the majority of the members, the Cabinet also adopted the Proposal for Amendments to the Conclusion of the Government of Montenegro, No. 08-215 of 19 November 2015, from the session of 13 November 2015. The Cabinet has established a Coordination Committee that will coordinate the activities of state authorities in implementing the Action Plan in case of possible inflow of refugees and migrants. The President of the Coordination Committee is Zoran Pažin, Deputy Prime Minister for Political System, Internal and Foreign Policy, and members include: Mevludin Nuhodžić, Minister of the Interior, Kemal Purišić, Minister of Labour and Social Welfare, Osman Nurković, Minister of Transport and Maritime Affairs, Kenan Hrapović, Minister of Health, Predrag Bošković, Minister of Defence and Srđan Darmanović, Minister of Foreign Affairs. An Operational Team was also established, which will be headed by Veselin Veljović, Director of the Police Directorate.

The Cabinet also gave its consent to the Proposal of the Rulebook on coefficients for determining the salaries of the employees of the Agency for Protection of Competition.
