Minister Nuhodžić to pay official visit to Republic of Serbia on Wednesday
Minister of the Interior Mevludin Nuhodžić will pay tomorrow an official visit to the Republic of Serbia at the invitation of Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Internal Affairs Nebojša Stefanović.
Minister Nuhodžic's visit will be an opportunity to discuss issues in the field of police affairs, with a special emphasis on the fight against organised crime, current migration challenges and the promotion of cross-border cooperation. The joint foreign-policy commitment to EU membership further points to the cooperation of the two countries, and therefore one of the themes will be the exchange of knowledge and experiences within the negotiation chapter 24.
Having in mind the mutual interest in intensifying cooperation, the interior ministers Nuhodžić and Stefanović will sign seven agreements and two protocols, which regulate the regime of work of all six border crossings at the border of Montenegro and the Republic of Serbia (Dobrakovo - Gostun, Ranče - Jabuka, Dračenovac - Špiljani, Bijelo Polje - Vrbnica, Čemerno - Granice and Vuča - Godovo), while the agreement on border traffic regulates the conditions and way of crossing the border by the population in the border municipalities of Montenegro (Pljevlja, Bijelo Polje, Petnjica and Rožaje) and border municipalities of the Republic of Serbia (Priboj, Pljevlja, Sjenica, Tutin and Novi Pazar).
