Chief Negotiator Drljević participated in the work of the Committee for European Integration

Montenegro’s Chief Negotiator with the EU, Aleksandar Drljević, participated in the work of the 22nd and 23rd meetings of the parliamentary Committee for European Integration, where members of the Committee discussed numerous information regarding negotiation process.
Drljević informed them about the work of the Office for European Integration, emphasizing that, taking into account good comparative experiences and challenges from the previous process phases, the Office was organized in a way that provides meeting obligations from the accession process.
Addressing the Parliament’s Committee for European Integration, he said that the previous period marked an intensive work on fulfilling obligations from the negotiation process, which resulted in 31 open chapters and the readiness to open the remaining two, 8 - Competition and 27 - Environment and Climate Change soon.
Negotiator for chapters 23 and 24 Marijana Laković Drasković presented Montenegro’s results in those areas for the period from July to December last year.
She noted that the focus in the coming period will be placed on further implementation of the commitments in the rule of law, in the area of law enforcement and strengthening of administrative capacities of relevant institutions.
