Montenegro will intensify its work in the future to successfully complete the reform processes in all areas, especially in the field of the rule of law, said Montenegro`s Chief negotiator with the European Union, Aleksandar Drljević, expressing the expectation that the current efforts in the negotiations will be recognized and rewarded at the Intergovernmental conference in June.
Drljević hosted today a delegation of the Committee on European Affairs and Control of European Funds of the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria, led by Committee Chairman, Kristian Vigenin.
During the talks with the Bulgarian delegation, the Chief negotiator stressed that the European perspective of the countries of the Western Balkans was strengthened during the Bulgarian presidency, but also stressed that, in addition to strong political will, dedication to reforms and good results on the internal plane, the dynamics of the negotiation process depend on support and situations in the Union itself.
Committee Chairman Vigenin said that the future of the Western Balkans is in the EU and expressed willingness to continue intensive cooperation in all fields with the goal of further progress of Montenegro towards membership.
