DPM Pažin: I welcome prompt reaction of police, all state authorities to contribute to protection of judges

On the occasion of the physical attack on the judge of the Kotor Misdemeanor Court, Jelena Stanišić, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice Zoran Pažin welcomed the prompt and professional reaction of the police, who immediately deprived of liberty a person suspected of the attack.

"I welcome the prompt and professional reaction of the police, which stood in the protection of the personal and professional integrity of the holder of the judicial office and in the very short period of time deprived of liberty the person suspected of the attack," DPM Pažin announced.

"I also appeal to the competent prosecuting and judicial authorities to approach this case with equal timeliness and seriousness. Only by decisive and rapid sanctioning of all forms of violence against the holders of judicial office, the state can guarantee the full safety of our judges, as a basic attribute of a just and safe society, "the Deputy Prime Minister concluded.
